Vintage Afrikaana chair with mid-century Kem Weber influence

I have a chair in AFrica... well I am loving South Africa and it is great to be with all my old childhood friends.  The design scene here in Cape Town is amazing .. so far this is my favorite chair clocking in at only $27.00 but alas shipping too much. Feels like someone from a small Karoo town saw a Kem Weber airline chair

Mid Century Modern child's iron chair Bertoia feel

Pond Farm Pottery mid century studio pottery craft

Here are some lovely photos taken at Pond Farm Pottery (click to see great details). I found them at a yard sale in Malibu - along with the sheep which for some reason I had to buy...mainly because he looked so great on our campsite table at Leo Carrillo (click to see dust bunnies)

Abstract modernist ceramic sculpture

This is a piece that I made back in April but have not had time to fire. I kinda like it and seeing so many have broken in the kiln thought I should start taking photos first.

New California Studio pottery if you like Architectural AP pottery

I have just recently purchased a few pieces from the very talented and equally nice Darren Mock.
He is one of those people who is just really down to earth about both his knowledge and ability.
I love the lines of his pieces which have a strong AP bent. He has just started and etsy story so I guess that is the best way to contact him.

He also throws in some surprises like the blue vase in the bottom pic (awesome glaze) - ask him to tell you who he got his kiln from!

I actually have guards protecting this one
I think I need 2 more

What a great blue glaze

Here are a few pieces I have been making at ceramics.

Desert Dancers

I feel like I have seen the above shape somewhere ... please let me know if this is the case?

Stupid stupid me did not grab this on ebay Espinet ,EshericK?

This incredible table was for sale as a "buy it now" on Ebay.   I did not snap it up and decided to think about it overnight as it was out of my usual $300 price range.  I am being discreet and not giving amounts... against my better judgement as I think discretion is highly overrated, and knowledge is better for everyone.  It was a bargain though... Can anyone tell me who it is by so I can torture myself just a bit more?

Mid century modern abstract ceramic tile think Harrison Stong

This is  a fun piece with lovely colors that I found at Rosebowl. It has that etruscan/ heraldic thing that some  mid century stuff has the Ackermans liked a bit of that.
